TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – [May 30, 2023] – Terre Haute REX Baseball and Rose-Hulman Athletics have announced that it will host the opening slate of the first three home games at Art Nehf Field for the REX against the Johnstown MillRats from Pennsylvania.
“We are excited for the opportunity to host REX Baseball and the Johnstown MillRats here at Rose-Hulman,” Director of Recreational Sports and Athletic Facilities Seth Woodason said. “We look forward to some great summer baseball on the east side of Terre Haute and welcome all fans of the REX to Art Nehf Field!”
REX Baseball would like to congratulate Indiana State Baseball on an incredible year with being both regular season and postseason champions for the Missouri Valley Conference. Nationally ranked #14 Indiana State will host an NCAA regional for the first time in program history at Bob Warn Field!
“We’re happy to hear that Indiana State has been given the opportunity to host an NCAA regional here in Terre Haute,” REX GM and part Owner Bruce Rosselli said. “We have been working for the past three weeks on our backup plan once we were informed of ISU potentially hosting the regionals. We are fortunate that Seth Woodason is accommodating us to play at Rose-Hulman. In order avoid conflict this weekend, we will be adjusting our game times so everyone has an opportunity to watch great baseball action in the Wabash Valley.”
The NCAA regional scheduled at Bob Warn Field is from June 2nd – 5th. The REX, originally scheduled for a three-game series on Saturday (6:30 p.m. ET), Sunday (4:30 p.m. ET), and Monday (6:30 p.m. ET) against the Johnstown MillRats. The following adjustments are listed below:
Saturday’s June 3rd start time for the REX has now been moved to 3:00 p.m. ET with fans able to get in one hour before the first pitch at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Monday, June 5th will be a doubleheader for the REX, to close out the three-game series against the MillRats. The first game starts at 5:30 p.m. ET, and the second game begins 30 minutes after the first game concludes.
All three games will be played at Art Nehf Field on the campus of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, with a single game ticket price of $7.00 for General Admission. Children 5 & under get in free. All chair-back seating will be reserved for our Season Ticket Holders, who are encouraged to come early as there is limited availability.
Come out and enjoy some baseball this weekend! The kids can run the bases after Saturday’s game concludes and in between games on Monday’s doubleheader!
